Year 12 Leaver's Service - Save the date
Monday 20 November, 4.30pm - The Farrall Centre
In 2023 the Friends' leadership team made the decision to combine and restructure the Year 12 Leavers' events to better align with the Purpose and Concerns of the School. Our goal is to provide students, families and staff with a meaningful culminating event following the final TCE and IB exams.
We are thrilled to invite you to The Friends' School Leavers' Service on Monday 20 November in The Farrall Centre starting at 4.30pm and followed by refreshments in the foyer. This service will not only celebrate all Year 12 students but will also acknowledge outstanding effort and achievement. By combining events, we eliminate the need for a separate awards ceremony in early 2024. We sincerely hope that this Service provides an opportunity for Year 12 students and their families to celebrate their contributions to The Friends' School.
TCE Subject Selection
A reminder to Year 11 TCE students that your 2024 subject selections are due this Friday.
Please see the email you received on 15 June for instructions and guidance for entering your preferences. We recommend you set aside some time this week to discuss subject selections with your family.
Please ensure you submit choices by Friday as you will only be able to select subjects based on what places are available in classes after the deadline.
TCE Exam Booklet
TCE students received their August Exam Booklet which includes the exam timetable on Tuesday. Further information for students with extra time will be sent out before the end of term. If you have any queries about the TCE August Exams, please contact Jane Morrison.
Push Up Challenge
The Push Up Challenge is an initiative of the Push for Better Foundation and is Australia’s largest mental health and fitness initiative. This year our Clemes Council Wellbeing Reps are encouraging participants to perform 3,144 pushups over 23 days in July. If you don’t like pushups, you can do squats, situps or some other exercise.
Each day, participants are given a target number of exercises related to an Australian mental health statistic.
Contact your tutor rep, James or Hayley to sign up!
