Lote

Level 3

Level 3 students drew family portrait or family trees in LOTE. They labelled their family members in Chinese, and learned how to introduce their family members with the sentence “Wǒ yǒu… 我有…” (I have…).

Level 4

Level 4 students have continued learning about body parts in Chinese. We have also learned how to describe body parts using adjectives such as big and small. We also used our body to make the Chinese characters for the adjectives “dà 大” (big) and “xiǎo 小” (small).

Level 5

Level 5 students had a scavenger hunt around the school by taking photos of the current school facilities bilingual signs. We are in the process of making new signs which include Chinese Pinyin, Chinese characters and English for our school facilities. Once the signs are completed, we will put them up, so please feel free to check out our students’ work around the school.

Level 6

Level 6 students have learned about popular Chinese food and drinks, and Chinese souvenir. Our Chinese background learners shared their research on Chinese food, drinks and souvenir to their classmates. Students have learned the sentence “Wǒ xiǎng qù/chī/hē/mǎi …我想去/吃/喝/买…” (I want to go/eat/drink/buy …) to express their personal interests.
