Principal's Report

Dear parents,
As we come to the end of a fantastic second term, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible learning experiences we have shared together with our students. This term, our focus on Australian Indigenous culture has allowed us to delve into a rich and diverse heritage. In class, our students have shown remarkable enthusiasm and engagement, embracing new knowledge and perspectives.
The interactive excursions to Healesville Zoo, the exhilarating Year 5 and 6 camp to Phillip Island, and the Aboriginal and Cultural Day with Uncle Paul and Aunty Gabby have been highlights and engaging and full of rich learning. These experiences have brought our curriculum to life and provided our students with invaluable insights and connections to the world around them.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to you, as parents, for your continued support in fostering a love of learning and encouraging your children's participation in these experiences. Your involvement has been instrumental in making this term so successful and memorable. This term we have built our team of parent volunteers in the classrooms and have experienced fantastic support from many of you through our fundraising and community building activities.
We look forward to continuing our journey together in the upcoming term, with more exciting opportunities for growth and discovery. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community.
Fishing at the Res
Our Prep – Year 4 students went down to the Macedon reservoir to watch a trout fish release and enjoy some fishing on Thursday last week. It was a great event and we’re so fortunate to have the ability to walk to these amazing natural environments and spend time in outside with our students. Thank you to Cara Cummings who supported us to arrange this activity and to the parent helpers who came to join in and help with student supervision.
Winter Solstice
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support and attendance at our primary school's Winter Solstice event on Friday last week. The lantern parade, soup and bake sales, sausage sizzle and bonfire created an enchanting atmosphere, making it a truly memorable night for everyone involved. Your dedication and participation truly made the event a resounding success.
We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to the parent volunteers whose invaluable help contributed to the smooth running of the event. Your enthusiasm and commitment were truly outstanding, and we couldn't have achieved such a fantastic evening without your assistance.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and for making our Winter Solstice event a night filled with joy, warmth, and cherished memories.
