District Cross Country

Following on from our House Cross Country event, we were able to select a team to compete at the Wellington District Cross Country event.  A team of 53 students travelled to Norton's Park to represent SJV in the District Cross Country.  A very challenging event, our students performed exceptionally well in cold, windy conditions.  

We had many students finish in the top 25 of their races, and we had 4 students finish in the top 12 which means they have qualified for the Division Cross Country event.  The 4 students who qualified for Division Cross Country were Dina (3rd in her race), Tyler (9th in his race), Aiden (10th in his race) and Scott (12th in his race).  

As a result of our individual race results, SJV as a team placed 6th overall in  our District.

We congratulate all of our students who represented SJV with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, and are proud of all of them for finishing their races!  A big thank you to the parents who also came along to help our team and support our students!
