Dear Parents and Carers

Working Bee, will you help? We need you.

On Saturday, we will be holding a working bee as there is a great deal of work needed around the school grounds after all of the rain. I am very grateful to those few parents who have offered to assist and cannot thank you enough for joining me on Saturday.

Parents are busy with many commitments on a Saturday but I am asking more parents to consider helping out even for just 1 hour. We have over 500 parents connected with the school and only 4 volunteers for Saturday. Please give some thought to providing some of your time, if you are able, at any time between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. I look forward to seeing as many parents as possible.

Thank you to the school leadership team who this week have very competently managed the school and supported students and staff while I was attending a course on school governance and integrity in leadership. This was valuable learning for me as a principal and I appreciate the opportunity to grow in my profession and leadership. I am particularly grateful to Kylie Grose for her strong and competent leadership not only over the last three days but throughout the term while Miguel Aguilera has been on leave. Miguel is expected to return to work in Week 7.

Protected Industrial Action Tomorrow

A letter was sent to you on Monday in regard to the Independent Education Union (IEU) informing the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong that their members will engage in protected industrial action on Friday 27 May 2022 for the entire school day.

What this means for you and your child/ren on Friday 27 May 2022

  • Very limited supervision will be provided at school
  • Classes will not run as normal.
  • You may wish to keep your child at home.
  • Any absence from school on this day will not impact your child's attendance record.

Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions.

Don't forget the working bee!
