The Leader In Me

How quickly this term seems to have flown by! Our students are well underway with working towards achieving their Wildly Important Goals, both personally and as a class. Some students have already achieved their set target, and have reset a new one for the remainder of the term. Check-in with your child(ren) to see how they are progressing with their goal.

Last week, the Year 5 cohort had the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of their Term 1 W.I.G with a pyjama day. This was recognised at our assembly, spurring many other students to achieve their own class goals so they too can celebrate in a fun way. Congratulations to the Year 5s on their success.

Earlier in Term 1, the Year 4 cohort wrote letters to Monash City Council’s Mayor Stuart James. Their letters were in support of the current bin changes occurring around Monash, applying Habit 8: Find Your Voice. The students recognised the positive impact this would have on our environment and understood the action that each of us can take to reduce the amount of rubbish we produce. In an act of gratitude, Mayor James and members of his team came to speak with the Junior School and met with the Year 4s. His appreciation for receiving these positive, supportive letters was immense and demonstrated the impact that a small act of kindness can have. Congratulations Year 4.
