Fee Relief

Dear Sacred Heart Community

As is the case with most Primary School Principals who are part of the Catholic sector, I firmly believe that no child should be denied a Catholic Education, because of legitimate circumstances that create a financial challenge in meeting the fees we charge as a system. I know my predecessor Pam had the same social justice philosophy.

The Catholic ethos upon which the Sisters of the Good Samaritan order founded our school, is based upon an acknowledgement of, and preparedness to help those who find themselves in need.

I write to you today, to reassure families impacted financially by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, that we want to assist you in every way possible to continue your child’s enrolment at Sacred Heart Primary School.

As many in our school community grapple with unprecedented changes to finances, emotional wellbeing and physical health, Father Jan and I have taken a clear position on enrolments.

No parent or guardian who wishes their child to receive a Catholic education at Sacred Heart Primary School, will be denied the opportunity to do so because of financial circumstances they now find themselves in.

Please be aware, invoices for the term two school fees will go out as normal in the coming weeks. With the vast majority of our students participating in “distance education” the invoices will need to be mailed. Upon receiving your invoice, if you have concerns about your financial situation, please contact me so that we can explore confidential financial support arrangements to enable your child’s ongoing education at our school.

To facilitate your planning, we will respond to applications as promptly as possible given our own constraints during this time.

We are absolutely committed to working with our families as we get through these challenging times.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact me by email.

Thank you for your continued support of the Sacred Heart School community.

This support will enable us to continue to provide rich and engaging learning activities, and strong pastoral support for all of our students.

Yours sincerely
