Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

What a Wonderful Day – Mother’s Day!

At a time when we are relying a lot more on our mums and our special female role models (who would have thought this was even possible), it is important we make this Mother’s Day even more special.

While we still can’t take mum out to a cafe, shopping or even spoiling her to a special relaxation treatment this year there are so many other things we can do to make it extra special and I am sure even more appreciated by our mums.

Here are a few suggestions, you could do:

  • Make your very own Mother’s Day card and make sure you write something inside that is special to you and your mum.
  • Let her have a sleep in or even just relax in bed without having to try to pretend she is sleeping.
  • Make breakfast in bed - pancakes (buy the pancake mix, add water, shake, in the pan for a few minutes – done!) with strawberries, banana and yoghurt are a great suggestion.
  • Kids – make your bed and tidy your room.
  • Dads – putting the washing on and don’t forget to hang it out.
  • Dads and kids – leave mum at home and go out and get some fresh air by taking a long, long, long walk.
  • If you have managed to buy or make a present, hide in the house somewhere and give mum clues to find it.
  • Let mum choose the movie you can all watch together (remember it is Mother’s Day) or let her watch it by herself – I’m sure she would appreciate just some mum time too!

Whatever you do as a family to make this Mother’s Day special, I am sure she will cherish it forever.

It is times like these that the thought (but don’t forget to do it too) makes a big difference!

Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday 10th May!

NAPLAN 2020

Usually at this time of the year, students and schools are preparing for the Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 annual National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests. However, due to situation with COVID-19, all associated testing will not proceed this year along with the subsequent implications for schools.

Kind regards,

Darren Wallace
