Traffic Safety
Road safety around our school
Malvern Primary School has been invited by the City of Stonnington to participate in the 2020 VicRoads Safe Routes to School program.
This program aims to increase active travel and improve road safety around the school through education, infrastructure improvements (where possible), community engagement activities and the development of an easy to follow active travel plan.
Upcoming key dates:
- SCHOOL TRAVEL SURVEY – Have your say in safe travel to school
We are taking part in a school-wide travel survey as part of Safe Routes to School with Council. Students will complete an in-class activity and parents are also invited to participate.
It will take parents only 4 minutes to complete the online survey. The results will be evaluated in a data analysis report and used to pinpoint the current thinking of students and parents in the area of active travel. From this, an active travel plan will be developed for the school.

The survey is open until the 17th March.

School Council Committees
The School Council Committees are an important aspect of its function. Malvern Primary School Council has the following Committees: Buildings, Grounds and Sustainability, Education and Policy, Finance, Spring Fair and Traffic Working Party.
Each year we call for members of the school community to join the committees. This is an opportunity for the school community to work on a committee that enables them to use their skills, offer their expertise or work on an area of interest.
We are currently forming our committees for 2020. By joining a committee there is no obligation to attend School Council, however you would be required to meet at least twice a term with the committee. If you would like to become a member of a Committee or Working Party please email the school at malvern.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au providing the following information:
