Open Day

Thank you to all the staff and students for their hard work leading up to and on Open Day. It was a great opportunity to see students hard work on display and proudly shown to all who attended.

OLNA

Round 2 OLNA testing has now concluded. The results will be available for schools in late November.  Year 11 students who do not achieve a Category 3 in either reading, writing and/or numeracy will have two more opportunities to complete the assessment in Year 12 (Term 1 and Term 3 2022).

Students who are completing Year 12 this year who do not meet the required standards after this round will receive a Western Australian Statement of Student Achievement (WASSA) which is a formal record of what students have achieved throughout their time in Secondary School.

The Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) provide opportunities for students who have not reached the required standard in school to sit OLNA during any future testing periods. When students have demonstrated the required standard and have met all other requirements of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), they will be awarded their WACE.

Year 12 General Students

Congratulations to our Year 12 General students who will complete their Class courses this week. Many of you have worked tirelessly over the last two years and have achieved outstanding results. We wish you well in your future endeavours.

Year 12 ATAR Examinations

Year 12 ATAR students have concluded their Semester Two examinations this week. Students have approached their examinations with maturity and dedication and have taken full advantage of all study sessions made available to them. I look forward to the examination results.

Students are able to access their Personalised Written ATAR Examination timetable from the Student Portal (SCSA Student Information | Student Portal). Students should also be aware of the Examination Code of Conduct (Years 11 and 12 | Rules of conduct for Year 12 ATAR course examinations (scsa.wa.edu.au)

Year 11 ATAR Camp

Due to a recent opportunity, there have been some changes to the Year 11 ATAR Camp, which will take place in Week 3 not Week 2 of Term 4. We are currently finalising the itinerary and will have an update to students and parents early next term.

Year 12 English Interviews

During Week 9, Miss Sharpe and Miss Tait’s English classes sat mock interviews chaired by Directions. This experience assisted in preparing students for employment interview processes. Directions provided individual feedback students can use to improve and refine their interview skills for the future.
