From the Principal

Week 6 of this term has flown by, with only 4 weeks and 4 days left of the year. We have lots to pack in before we say goodbye to 2021.

Year 12 have been busy with a range of community activities. With COVID restrictions easing we are hoping to start working in the community again soon. The staff have been enjoying the culinary delights of the Year 12 cooking.

We are extremely fortunate to have highly trained and experienced executives working with our staff and students to make 

NSW Health held a COVID vaccination hub at our school for any students 12 years and over to receive a first shot of Pfizer. I’m thankful that we were offered this opportunity to ensure that anyone who wants to be vaccinated, could. 

Art on Anson and Recycled Art projects have recently been displayed in the hall. The work and effort that has gone into the art forms has been wonderful. Thanks to Mrs Huggett for her support and curation of both events and to Mrs Griffen for exciting everyone to get involved in the recycle project. 

Mrs Steer, Mrs Marsden and Mrs Huggett have spent a few days writing units of work for Operation Art pieces. These teaching units will be collated with other units of work and shared across the state for staff to use in class. 

As the year warms up, please ensure that your child has sunscreen on in the morning and our staff will reapply for breaks. Hats and caps have been distributed to any student who needed one, so if your child needs one please let their teacher know. 

I’m looking forward to upcoming events in early December such as the Year 12 graduation, presentation assemblies and Christmas parties.
