Teaching & Learning 2C

The Grade 2 students have been doing a fantastic job with remote learning over the past few months. We have continued our online meetings every day and celebrated some of the great work our students have been doing at home. Some of the fun activities we’ve done online include making fairy bread, several Grade 2 dance parties, the book parade and footy day dress up.

At the start of Term 3 we were following the Olympics and Paralympics closely, learning all about the different sports and cheering on our Australians as they competed live. We had a great time doing lots of different Olympics based activities, including designing our own team uniforms and mascots, watching the medal tally and learning about the Olympians. 

We were very lucky to have Olympian Jemima Montag join our Google Meet and share with us her experience in Tokyo! Jemima came 6th in the women’s 20km racewalk at the Tokyo Olympics. She showed us photos and videos of her race, and talked all about what it takes to become an Olympian. Jemima was absolutely amazing and made time to answer lots of questions from students. She even said the cardboard beds were very comfortable!
