How the World Works
The central idea of Grade 6 Exhibition 2021 is - Processes and innovation contribute to meeting present and future needs. Students were asked to work through the following tasks:
Task #1: Learning Journey Map
A creative representation of their learning journey throughout Exhibition, using an analogy to present it, for example, a roller coaster or road to mountains etc.
Task #2: Padlet (optional)
Create a Padlet to present their final exhibition.
Task #3: Written Component
Choose an appropriate text type to create a written piece that demonstrates their understanding of their personal inquiry.
DO’ TASK: Action/Initiative
Construct an action or initiative which will create change in their local community or household to their inquiry.
SAY’ Task: Presentation Component
A presentation to demonstrate all that you have learned throughout the inquiry process and to highlight their action. Due to the ongoing lockdown, this was viewed by visitors to the exhibition virtually.
We are very proud of how hard our Grade 6 students worked on their exhibition this year, especially during the lockdown. Here are a few examples below.
Milla Teelow's Exhibition padlet: 'Feminism' HERE
James Damiano and Duke Pillios Exhibition 'Breast Cancer' - HERE
Originally we were going to host a Mum’s Morning Tea and raise funds for Breast Cancer. Unfortunately due to COVID Lockdown Restrictions we had to change our idea. Instead we decided to drop cupcakes off that we made to Mums from Brighton Primary and promote Breast Checks and Breast Cancer Awareness. It was lots of fun driving around dropping them off for an afternoon tea surprise.
