Visual Arts

As the visual arts teacher, I have had the privilege of teaching all of the grades this first week back and I must say I am blown away by how settled, calm, happy and ready to learn the students are. The first week in the classrooms has been all about establishing routines, setting expectations and getting to know each other. Our STAR values have been highlighted and explored across the junior and senior grades. 

S - Stay safe 

T - Try your best 

A - Act responsibly 

R - Respect yourself and others 

Each week at assembly students from each class who display these values will receive a STAR award. 

The classroom teachers will send out a class newsletter next Friday with curriculum overviews for Term 1, important dates, contact details and other important information.

The teachers will also be posting an information video on class dojo. Teachers will continue to post on dojo each Friday with reminders for the week ahead. 

In very exciting news Miss Stacey will be beginning a 0-3 years old playgroup and her 3 - 5 year old playgroup soon! More information to come. 

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and rest. I am going to create a morning checklist for my two young girls at home to help them with the morning routine and I’ll pop a copy into next week’s newsletter for you if you would like to use it.
