Senior Report (5/6)
Wominjeka from the GUMNUT COMMUNITY - Jean, Tim, Tom & Annalisa
Dear Wollert Famillies,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you've had the chance to enjoy the delightful costumes our Senior students donned during Book Week. It was a spectacular sight to see our 5/6 students bring their favourite book characters to life through their creative outfits.
In Writing, our senior students have been engaging in a variety of meaningful projects. They've recently penned heartfelt letters of gratitude to our school leaders, paying tribute to those who inspire them and lead our school with dedication.
However, the writing journey doesn't stop there. Our students are currently immersed in a new writing endeavour: "Letters for Change." In this project, they are composing letters addressed to politicians, school officials, and local councillors. Their purpose is clear—to voice their concerns, advocate for change, and propose ideas to improve our local community, the state of Victoria, or even influence national legislation.
During reading sessions, the spotlight is on "Point of View and Perspective." Our senior students are delving deep into understanding the significance of who tells a story and how that storyteller's perspective can shape our understanding of the narrative. They're exploring how readers can empathise with the storyteller based on shared experiences and viewpoints.
We're excited to witness our Senior students developing not only as readers and writers but as informed, engaged citizens who are making their voices heard. It's truly inspiring to see their passion and commitment to positive change.
Be BRILLIANT

A special congratulations to all of our students that represented our school at the District Athletics at Meadowglen Athletic Stadium. We are so proud of all of the effort of our students who will be remembered as our first competitors at a District Athletics meet. Well done all!
