Middle Report (3/4)
Wominjeka from the GUMNUT COMMUNITY - Tien, Phoebe, Tayla, Claire & Sage
In Writing, students have been exploring a variety of fractured fairy tales to enhance their imagination. They have continued to investigate a range of writing techniques, examining how this language can enhance an imaginative text. Students created their own fractured fairy tale and personalised this by creating adaptations to the storyline and/or characters.
Students put their editing skills to practice as they up-leveled their writing to enhance their fractured fairytales.
The Middle Learning Community has been embracing student voice and agency through our writing lessons. We have encouraged students to explore their personal writing passion through a range of genres selected by them, for example; comic strips, blogs, journals, Venn diagrams and mini books.
Students have had the opportunity to be a part of our schools MSL (Multisensory Structured Language) program. They have been practising their short and long vowel sounds, consonant sounds and digraph sounds. We are enjoying bringing the cohort together for this learning experience.
This week we would like to acknowledge and congratulate the following students for showing our school value of Be BRILLIANT.
