Welcome BBQ 10th Feb

Thank you to all the families who came along to the welcome BBQ on Friday  evening. We hope that you found it relaxing. Our students certainly had a great time with the activities.

A huge thank you to Sarah Crozier for cooking the BBQ. The sausages and onions in bread were very popular. Thank you also to families who brought along something for the share table.

Below are some of the activities on the evening. Giant Jenga, Weaving, Petanque, an obstacle course organised by our sport leaders and sidewalk drawing in chalk.

Chess Club

Newham PS has a Chess Club now. The members have been busy getting out the larger outdoor set to make the most of the lovely weather. They cleaned them and ensured all the pieces were in good condition.

Here are 2 Chess club members, Lewis and Henry mid game.

And 2 more Indi and Sophie with Alice in support.

Hanging Rock Cross Country - more in the Sports/PE section

Yesterday was a fantastic day at Hanging Rock with the running of our cross country. A HUGE thanks to all parents who came along and helped throughout the day, your enthusiasm, encouragement and support along the track was great for our students. We couldn't be prouder of all students having a go, supporting each other and showing great resilience in the hot weather. Well done everyone!

Those who will have the opportunity to represent our school at district level will be informed early next week.

NATURE WALK AT HANGING ROCK WITH THE JUNIORS

Some of the seniors who didn't climb the Rock helped with the 'List of things to find' while on the walk.
