Mathematics at St John's

We encourage a love of learning for all of our students in all subject areas. It is especially important to inspire our students with learning Math and reminding them that everyone can learn the strategies and patterns involved.

Here is a link to a great website with a variety of open ended games that you can play with your children at home!

These games align perfectly with the Math's pedagogy that we use in the classroom with students exploring the activity, summarising their learnings and explaining their reasoning for the strategies used and moves that they have made, during a game or task.

If you would like any additional games and/or help with challenging and engaging your children at home, please contact me at rmasters@sjmitcham.catholic.edu.au
