ACTIVE GIRLS BREAKFAST
On Wednesday morning a small group of Years 7 to 11 students attended the Mallee Sports Assembly Active Girls Breakfast, at the Mildura Lawn Tennis Club. The students met elite female athlete role models including Cath Hall, Sam Bice and Natasha Anstee. These inspirational speakers spoke of their journeys and achievements in the sporting realm.
The breakfast is held to encourage young women to continue to participate in sport and physical activity throughout their lives.
TENNIS STATE FINALS
Joshua Reck, Jack Madafferi, Xavier Kendall and Zac Galbaith played in the state intermediate Tennis finals last week. It was a tight finish and the boys were really proud to walk away runners up. Congratulations on this great achievement.
SENIOR BOYS FOOTBALL
The St Joseph's College boys senior football team were just defeated by MacKillop College last week in Robinvale. Best players for the game were Luia Polata, Dean Trobanni, Don Cirillo and Lachlan Knight.
CROSS COUNTRY
St Joseph’s College students competed in the Interschool Cross Country at Apex Park with some fantastic results with 30 students qualifying for the Loddon Mallee Championships next week.
Age group winners were Isabella McDonald, Will Rodgers and Indi Spratt who were presented with their medals after the event.
Overall our students placed very well in the teams categories with 22 of our students gaining a top 10 placing in their age group.
