Principal's Report

Principal's Report:

It’s over half way through term, and we are entering into a busy time as assessment is taking place in every subject. End of semester reports will soon be uploaded onto Compass, so it is imperative that students keep on top of their assessment schedule.

I recently accompanied eight students from MSC who attended a Shepparton Education Plan consultation forum at Shepparton High School. All four of the State Schools in Shepparton were represented and the students input will be collated by the VSBA (Victorian School Building Authority) and presented to the architects that have been commissioned to design the new school. It was rewarding to see the contributions of all of the students who came up with some innovative ideas.

Our Cross Country was held last week (postponed from the week before, after the only rain in months), and was a successful event. For the first time in over ten years, the cross country was held at school. Winners in the cross country will have the opportunity to represent our school at the next level of competition.

The Senior Winter Sports carnival was also held last week, and there were several notable performances by MSC students. The Junior Winter Sports carnival is being held later this week.

Our next whole school assembly will be held in the last few weeks of this term. We use these assemblies as a way to showcase the talents of our students. Parents are always welcome to attend our Whole School assemblies.

Japanese Exchange - Once again, we have visitors arriving from Japan in July. We are looking for families to host students. The students are billeted in pairs. If you would like to be involved in this rewarding program please contact me at school. The visitors arrive on Friday the 27th of July (approx. 6pm) and leave on Wednesday the 1st of August. (approx. 8 am)

Until next time.
