Abracadabra........

You might think that Harry Potter has used his wizardry to create an amazing new colourful learning space at GRPS but it’s all been made possible with the magical wand waving skills of Jo-Anne Hoare, our skilful and talented Business Manager.

As you walk down the corridor you can now see the amazing new flexible learning spaces created by dividing the library into two areas. As you enter the brand-new library the curves of the shiny new bookcases coupled with the colourful soft furnishings, finished off with the aroma of the new paint and carpet, make this area a place where children want to be reading, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's  Stone. The glass sliding doors,(awaiting some art frosting work), effortlessly slide back to reveal a flexible classroom area with brand new furniture and a space created for the very best learning to occur.

Mrs Pechar wished she had some of the skills of Hermione Granger as she took on the enormous, gigantic task of packing up a library that had been filled with books over 24 years. Back breaking work as Mrs Pechar packed, and then unpacked, sorted, rearranged, and recycled thousands of books. I think if you see her now, she is feeling like the Queen in a new castle as she takes such pride in the new space that she has created.

We are very grateful to Jo-Anne and Mardi for coordinating the many different contactors over the last 6 months, to enable this space to be completed to add another element of excellence to our school. We are also looking forward to the refurbishments of the corridor spaces during the next holiday period with new carpet, paint and pinboards. Exciting times at GRPS.

Watch this space......

Have a wonderful weekend
