National Simultaneous Reading Time.
Last Wednesday we joined with 2 186 347 children to read Family Tree by Josh Pyke. The children all enjoyed the book which was read by the author and especially loved the countdown to the reading.
All of our children then contributed to the St Joseph's Family Tree by drawing their family tree on a leaf and adding it to our tree. They have done a great job and it looks fabulous.

Premier's Reading Challenge
Did you know that you probably have books at home that you can add to the Reading Challenge?
Many of you have beautiful books at home that can be added to the Premier's Reading Challenge. While not all of them can be added there will be a lot that can. You also have 5 free choice books that you can add as well. To check just log into the PRC and search for the book on the top right hand corner. Some children have completed the challenge, let's encourage our children to finish. Once again if you have any problems with your login details send me an email and I will get back to you.
Returning Books
While many children are returning their books each week, there are others who don't. We love to see your children reading so if you have lost a book let me know. Please encourage good habits in your children and help them to get organised each week before the library lesson.
