Feast of the Sacred Heart Whole School Mass

Our whole school Mass for term 2 will be held in week 9 on the 24th June. This Mass will be on the feast day of the Sacred Heart. We are asking our school community to donate long lasting, non perishable food items to donate to our local St Vincent de Paul for their winter appeal (e.g. cans of food). This donation will be handed over at the end of this Mass. We will be celebrating as a whole school at 11:40am in the Church and we encourage our extended school community to attend.

Catholic Schools Week

I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff, students and parents for participating whole heartedly throughout Catholic Schools Week, which was held last week.

Our K-4 students attended a beautiful Mass for Our Lady Help of Christians with Father Gleeson and the Parish community in the Church. It was amazing to see our students back in the Church after being away for so long! Congratulations also goes to our year 6 students who attended the Catholic Schools Week Mass alongside other Diocesan schools at the Catholic Cathedral in Armidale. It was an amazing opportunity for our students to engage in this Mass. Thank you to Bobby Chard for representing our school, speaking so well throughout the Prayers of the Faithful!

First Holy Communion

The Sacrament of First Holy Communion is approaching (19th June). It is pleasing to see the children attending their Catechesis sessions with Father Glesson at weekend Mass. On the 19th, there will be a morning tea to celebrate the students completing this Sacrament and their continual journey of initiation in the Catholic Church. There will be a cake for all and we ask if parents could bring a small share plate to be enjoyed together.
