F-4 Community News

The last fortnight has seen the F-4 community busy with many learning opportunities. The Years 3 and 4 students had the opportunity to learn about cancer through the Camp Quality Education Program. They have also been busy travelling to EWMAC this week to participate in daily swimming lessons as a part of the ‘Learn To Swim Program’. It has been great to see them returning to school with smiles on their faces and sharing the amazing skills they have been learning.

During Week 10 of this term, the Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students will also be participating in the ‘Learn To Swim Program’ at EWMAC. If your child has an appointment during the times advised in the Operoo, please get in touch with your child’s TA to make alternative arrangements.

Week 10 will be a busy week for the F-4 Community. As well as swimming for F-2, on the morning of Monday 4th April at 9:10am, the F-4 students will be sharing their learning for the term at the F-4 Assembly. This assembly will take place in the Brigidine Centre. We would like to invite parents and caregivers to attend the assembly. Proof of double vaccination will be required upon entry. We can’t wait to welcome parents back into the College at this event.

Camp Quality

On Thursday 17th March, the Years 3/4 students participated in a Primary School Cancer Education Program run by Camp Quality. The students were able to watch a show with the vivacious and loveable puppets, Kylie, Dean and Melissa to dispel myths and misconceptions that are commonly associated with cancer. They then took part in a question and answer session. The students had a fantastic time laughing and engaging in the interactive puppet show.
