Senior School Subject Selection
Subject Selection for the Senior School 2021 has commenced with students in Years 9,10 and 11 attending Subject Selection Assemblies and receiving the Senior School 2021 Subject Selection Handbook.
Web preferences are now open for students in Year 11 to select their Year 12 program for 2021. Web preferences will close on Wednesday 5th August at 3.30pm.
To assist students in Year 9 and 10 with the selection of their subjects and program for 2021, students received a Subject Planning Sheet that has a Career Planning Sheet on the reverse. Students are required to speak to their teachers about the subjects that they are interested in studying in 2021 as well as research possible career options. This needs to be completed and submitted to the General Office by 9am on Wednesday the 5th of August. Once this is submitted, Web Preferences will be open for students in Year 9 and 10 to select their 2021 subjects on Friday the 7th of August and will close at 9am on Tuesday the 11th of August.
Changes to the Senior School Information Evening and Subject Expo
Due to COVID restrictions we are unable to hold our Senior School Information evening and Subject Expo this year. To ensure families are able to access this important information and have the opportunity to ask questions of the Senior School Teachers we have put the following in place:

Parents are encouraged to view the Subject Selection presentation that relates to their child.
- Online Senior School Question Session
We invite you to attend our Year 9 to 11 Online Senior School Question Session to be held on Monday July 27, from 4.00 to 6.00pm. Given the current COVID-19 restrictions these meetings will be conducted virtually using the video conference program called Where.by for the first time. We are excited to offer this new opportunity.
Students and their parents will be able to go online and speak one on one to our Senior School teachers to seek advice or ask questions regarding all subjects offered in 2021. Families will be able to locate the list of teachers available, the subjects that they can talk about and the link to Where.by link to meet with them on the Home page of theSJE Senior School Subject Selection Website.
Directions on how to use Where.by videoconferencing are provided there also.
