Facemask Fundraiser

Facemask Fundraiser – Sikh Volunteers Australia

Year 8 student, Haim, was a busy beaver over the holidays making multiple masks on her sewing machine at home to help raise important funds for Sikh Volunteers Australia.

Sikh Volunteers Australia is a non-profit volunteer organisation focusing on reducing distress in the community by providing free food to disadvantaged and needy individuals and families. Their motto is ‘In the service of humanity’.

This community organisation was recently on the front lines during the lockdown at Flemington Community Centre, delivering meals to locked-down tower residents. They also have a food van that delivers to vulnerable members of our community who are self-isolating and were instrumental in providing relief during the January bushfires in Eastern Victoria.

If you would like to make a tax deductable donation you can go to https://www.sikhvolunteersaustralia.org/or donate to our school office.

So far Haim has raised over $470.00 for this worthy cause.

Great work Haim! You really live our school values of Excellence, Teamwork and Care and Compassion!
