Thanks to Maree - Welcome to Kathy

At a recent meeting of the Trustees which focused on Governance for Mission, we took the opportunity to acknowledge the very significant role of Sr Maree Marsh csb as Co-Chair of the Trustees.   Maree as we know has been appointed to the position of community leader in NSW.

Kildare Ministries was launched in 2014 and Maree was co-chair of the Trustees with Annette Schmeide.   Before the launch, Maree had contributed significantly to the development of the Kildare Ministries.  Her wisdom, patience and grace have always been with us.  Maree is a person who gave witness to the Gospels and to the Vision, Mission and values of  Kildare ministries values, and she herself is a person who is very hope-filled.

Trustees acknowledged that Maree had played a lead role in the transfer of properties to Kildare Ministries – to say that it was detailed and demanding is an understatement, and Maree led the process with aplomb.   In the early days of Kildare Ministries, Maree contributed in guiding the finances of Kildare Ministries, and she said that she has every confidence in handing the job over!!!

We expressed our appreciation for Maree’s warmth of welcome, her care for others, and her confidence in the future of Kildare Ministries.   She is indeed a woman of strength and gentleness.   Maree will remain a Trustees until the end of 2020.  Our deep gratitude goes with her, and we all look forward to meeting up with her in post COVID times.     Thank you Maree for all that you have contributed and all that you have been for Kildare Ministries.

Kathy McEvoy is no stranger to us as a Trustee of Kildare Ministries being one of the founding members when Kildare Ministries was launched in 2014.  In July, Kathy joined Rosemary as Co-Chair of Kildare Ministries.  We congratulate Kathy on her appointment and wish her every success as she and Rosemary lead Kildare Ministries in this next phase.

In the six years that Kathy has been a Trustee we have come to know her as a woman of deep integrity and faith, and a woman who is not only profound in her thinking but writes creatively and poetically. She approaches her work methodically and is always open to adapt to new thinking and new ways of doing.

Kathy is passionate and committed to each of our ministries and while she lives in Adelaide she has made it a priority to be present to each of them, despite the distance.  Actually, Kathy thoroughly enjoys travelling having led pilgrimages to the Holy Land many times.  She is highly involved in the work of the Church in Adelaide as well as leading the ecumenical movement there.
