Outside School Hours Care

Free play this week at OSHC for the children. Why? Because free play creates an opportunity for children to explore their world in their own way and helps foster creativity and using their imagination. There has been a lot of sensory play with Kinetic sand, sticky foam, slime and scented playdough. We have been focusing on reduce, reuse, recycle this term. We reuse old boxes, bottles, caps, lids and containers for construction play, we have reused vegetable scraps to regrow vegetables. We have regrown celery, lettuce and spring onions!! Any scraps we can’t regrow that are safe for animal consumption we feed to Flash and Kong. What have the children learnt about Flash and Kong? They have learnt that Guinea pigs have incredible hearing, they are very sensitive to noise, they love to socialize, prefer to live in groups and they cannot sweat.

• Please sign your child in and out of OSHC, this is located in the OSHC room / Room 6

• Children are to be picked up by authorized contacts only.

• Please let us know if your details have changed and keep contact numbers up to date in case of an emergency.

• To ensure the safety of all children, parents are expected to notify the program if their child is not attending OSHC. We don’t automatically receive notification from the school of children away or if they leave as an early departure. A text message to the OSHC Coordinator is adequate notice by 2.30pm.
