Assistant Principal's

Report

Mr Lockhart

Easter is always an exciting time of the year as most times you are presented with excellent Autumn weather which makes it easier to catch up with family and friends.  Thanks to all Students, Staff, Parents and Carers for an excellent school term. Enjoy an exciting break, be active and do something for someone you know that will make them happy. For example; make a surprise call to a grandparent or/elderly relative as most times they are lonely.

UNIFORM

We have had a fantastic start to the year with regards to our uniform. I want to personally thank parents, carers and students for their efforts in this area.

There are still a few areas in which we can still improve. A reminder that shirts under College shirts must be navy (no hoodies), socks should be dark and hair below shoulder length should be tied back.

Next term, it is no longer a requirement to wear hats outdoors and beanies are permitted. Beanies however are not to be worn indoors.

PUPIL FREE DAYS

Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th of April (ANZAC Day) are pupil free days.

ANZAC DAY SERVICE

On Wednesday the 26th of April, Wedderburn College will be conducting its annual ANZAC Day Service. This will be held Period 1A in the KLC. Parents and carers are invited to attend this service. Past student Jake Murphy is returning to play the ‘Last Post’.

CROSS COUNTRY

There has been a slight change to our calendar. Our Cross Country will now be held Monday the 1st of May instead of Tuesday 2nd of May. This will still be held Period 2A/2B (11:20am-1:00pm). Parents and carers are encouraged to come along to support their child/ren in the event. There will be a BBQ held in the Primary Quadrangle, which parents and carers are also invited to.
