Barak Week

Barak week involved our annual cultural day. It is always great to see the diverse cohort of students and teachers we have here at Tarneit Senior College.

The day started with the College’s first ever smoking ceremony led by Aboriginal education worker, Judy, and our Koorie students. It was great to observe acknowledgement of our first nations people and for the whole College to be able to be involved in the smoking ceremony. This then transitioned into our cultural parade where many different countries were able to express and demonstrate their cultural dances and music.

The Organisers Behind the Scenes

Thank you to all of the staff and Barak student leaders for organising the event. There is a lot of time and effort that go into these types of events. Writing proposals, baking cupcakes, organising logistics, communicating with each other, etc.

TSC thanks you!
