On Wednesday the 2nd March I had the pleasure of watching Will. L, Bronte, Rupert, Tex, Ellie, Matisse, Jayla and Cash represent our school at the Southport District Swimming carnival at Prahran Pool. This mighty team competed against all the other schools in our district and between them received many ribbons. I couldn’t be prouder of their courageous efforts, for many of them it was their first time at a district event.
The open mixed medley team (Rupert, Jayla, Will L, Matisse) competed with students 2 years older than them and received a third place ribbon! Watch out for this team, they are determined to break records in years to come.
The boys freestyle Relay team came first and showed everyone what playing as a team looked like. They will go onto the next stage which is Division.
Jayla, our breaststroke champion came first and now holds the record at the district competition in her event. Jayla will also go further and compete at Division.
Will L, also placed 2nd in his freestyle event and will progress to compete at Division.
Thank you to the parents who trained and supported the events on the day, it was a true team effort.
