Student Leadership Week 8 

The Student Leadership Team met again in Week 7, with Mason and Saviour running the meeting.

We begin all of our meetings by sharing our successes. Primary sub-school leaders, Dexter and Aidan, shared what they are enjoying the most about being student leaders. Aidan said that he has been enjoying counting the tickets and announcing the winners for the weekly PBS ticket draw and Dexter said he is enjoying being with his friends and helping others. 

An agenda item for this meeting included preparing student leaders for running tours at Jacana School for Autism’s 10th Anniversary celebration on March 18th. We discussed the role of student leader, the purpose of volunteering and got an exclusive look at the brochures for the special day!

Our student leaders Gabriel, Ela, Omar, Michael, Dexter, Summer, Elif, Vincent and Hymn helped run tours on the day, showing visitors around interesting places around the school – including classrooms, the library, VET shed and kitchen garden!
