A message from our Principal
Dear Parents
Our Book Week Parade and Book Fair will take place tomorrow, Friday 26th August. Each class has visited the Book Fair this week and made a wish list for children/parent purchasing. Children are able to buy books on Friday morning using cash. Teachers will assist in facilitating the library visit to make this purchase. Alternatively, parents can visit the Library with children after the book parade between
1 pm-2 pm. Cash and Eftpos facilities will be available. If a book a child or parent would like to purchase has sold out, Books Plus are happy to take orders and will deliver the books to school once they have arrived. Parents are reminded to QR code in and enter the school through the main entrance gate on George Street. The timeline for Friday is:
- 9:00 am-11:00 am - Children purchasing books from the Book Fair in the Library
- 12.00 am-1:00 pm - Book Character parade under the COLA with parents invited to enjoy the parade
- 1.00 pm-2.00 pm - Parents can attend the Book Fair with children to purchase books in the Library
We are looking forward to speaking with parents at the Parent Teacher Interviews next week. The interview response notes have been sent home with the children clarifying the allocated time for interviews. A reminder of the interview dates for each class is set out below.
All classroom teachers will be provided with a whole day to have these meaningful conversations with parents either face to face or via the telephone. Each interview will be scheduled for 15 minutes and take place in McMullen Hall (Lambert Street Hall for Year 2). All parents are asked to enter and QR code into the school through the main entrance on George Street.

At our P&C Meeting last week, we had an excellent discussion about introducing more extracurricular arts activities at school. The P&C and school are currently investigating reintroducing a School Band and Dance programs for 2023. These programs may be outsourced to a provider, so please contact the school if you have any suggestions or ideas. We also talked about art clubs, songwriting sessions and art gallery tours. Watch this space for further information in the coming weeks. The P&C will host a Father's Day breakfast commencing at 7.45 am next Friday 2nd September. All parents are welcome to attend. A breakfast order form is located on the P&C page of this Newsletter.
Good luck to our Rugby League Team, Mrs Goninan and Miss Tilburg as they travel to Goulburn to play Wagga South in the NSW PSSA Quarter Finals next Tuesday. The boys have been training extremely hard and are looking forward to this match next week. Go BPS!!
If any parent has any concerns regarding school life, please do not hesitate to contact me.
