Tarneit's Got Talent
Tarneit's Got Talent!
With lots of student performances already occurring this year, we know that within Tarneit Senior College, our students have incredible talents, and this was on display during our Tarneit's Got Talent competition!
Tarneit's Got Talent is a bi-annual competition that re-started this year after a few years off thanks to COVID. Students had the opportunity to sign up and then audition their talent to a panel of judges before progressing through to the Grand Finale held Tuesday 30th of August at lunch time in our beautiful Auditorium. It was great to see so many talents on display including dances, singing and instrumental performances and a massive congratulations to all students who braved the stage and performed in front of a packed crowd. The judges this year were our two College Captains, Naufal Juman and Marwa Melham, along with Drama/Performing Arts teacher Melissa Brown and VCAL teacher/expert Musician Jamie Calleja-Bailey.
The final started with a dance performance by Pranjal Babbar in Year 11 who got the crowd super excited with her Bollywood style dance. The crowd and judges absolutely loved this performance, and we are so lucky to have such a talented dancer at our College.
Act number 2 was Angelika Abou Eid in Year 10 who demonstrated her love for the keys with us. Angelika's performance left the audience spell bound as she performed 3 different songs on keyboard, leaving the crowd and the judges in awe of her incredible talent.
Act 3 was a Hip-Hop/Bollywood style dance performance by Minakshi Regar and Gurnoor Saini- both in Year 10. The girls bought such an energy to the stage and really hyped the crowd up! The girls had been practising very hard for this performance and it was clear that they were very well rehearsed.
Act 4 was an acapella style performance by Margaret Salesulu (Year 12), Lani Nonutunu and Grace Uisa (both Year 11). The harmonies in their singing were incredible and left the audience speechless! After chants from the audience of 'give them a 10', it was clear that this performance captured the hearts of our audience.
Last but certainly not least, Act number 5 was a solo singing performance by Diamond Karto in Year 10. Diamond sang 'Irreplaceable' by Beyonce and absolutely bought the crowd and judges to their feet, singing and dancing along with her. Diamond's performance was incredible and a fantastic way to finish our competition.
The four judges would like to congratulate all students who graced the stage with their performances, and we feel so privileged to be able to witness your incredible talents. Special congratulations to Diamond Karto who won the competition with all judges awarding her a 10/10 and taking home a $200 gift card!
