Hairspray Excursion

On the 17th of August music and drama students from Tarneit Senior College had the pleasure of watching the Tony award winning Broadway musical “Hairspray” at the Regent theatre in Melbourne. Set in the 1960’s the show see’s the star character Tracy Turnblad live her dreams of being a stage star while at the same time taking on entrenched attitudes and ideas.

An all star cast in addition to glamorous costumes and stunning stage sets made the afternoon a great experience for all those who attended. Students also got to experience the wonderful atmosphere of the Regent Theatre adding to the magic created by the performers on stage.

Special thanks must go to Anthony Nardi, Music teacher, for securing the free tickets for staff and students that attended.
