Position and Movement

This week in Maths, Foundation children are learning about position and movement. They are learning to interpret the everyday language of location and direction, such as ‘between’, ‘near’, ‘next to’, ‘forwards’, ‘towards', 'left', 'right' and to follow and give simple directions.

As part of this learning, students experimented with the ’Beebots' (small robots with directional buttons). They were required to make an obstacle course for a friend and get their friend to try and get their Beebot through the obstacle course by going forwards, backwards, left and right.

Reminder: we ask that Foundation children bring in a teddy on Friday 2nd September to support their learning in Maths.

Thank you,

Miss Hannah, Ellie and Rick
