Leadership

Looking back over the term

Term three has been a fantastic term of learning for all the students. Packed with activities and opportunities for students to share their learning with their parents and the wider community.

This term has involved the students in activities from the Arts, STEAM through to Physical Education in readiness for the School Performance in Term Four.

Carol and Laura's dedication to assisting the students has been incredible; their efforts to organise and work with a range of teachers and parents are much appreciated.

School Spectacular

Congratulations to Laura and the students for their dedication to the School Spectacular performance on Saturday. From the photos and video, the energy and enjoyment were undeniable - well done.

New school buildings - further update

The classrooms - Rob and Daisy

They will be relocated next to the portable classroom behind Building C. This is expected to happen in the first two weeks of term four. During this time, they will work in the multi-purpose room during the first two weeks of term four.  We understand this is not ideal, but we currently have limited options. They will stay there until their portable is ready at the end of the second week of term four. Both grades will relocate to the portable and remain there for the entire year.

Office/Administration

The main office area will be relocated to the current staffroom. To access this area will be from the rear through the auto doors. There will be no access from the existing entrances to the staffroom from the existing doorway.

Pedestrian Access

Elizabeth Street pedestrian [main] gate will not be accessible to the school community from the start of term four. Pedestrian access will be via two separate entrances; the Main carpark gate and the gate in the laneway. The staff carpark will be relocated and will not impact pedestrian access.

Bike Storage

The bike storage area will be relocated inside the east boundary fence as a temporary storage area for the bikes.

Play Areas

All students play on the bottom [east]oval during lunch and recess. They will also have access to the quadrangle and sensory play areas outside the Foundation/1 classrooms.

OOSHC

The program will continue to operate out of the multi-purpose room while Rob & Daisy occupy the space during school hours. We expect the program to return to its current operations once Rob and Daisy return to their classroom.

Term Four

School Performance

You can certainly feel the excitement rising as we come closer to the night. It has been a long wait since our last performance - 2018 was the final whole school performance. Reminder to parents make sure you have purchased your tickets for the night.

Sunsmart Policy

Remember that all students must have a hat on when they are outside during terms 1 and 4. Please ensure that your child's hat is clearly labelled with their name.

Swimming

Swimming has been organised for all students F-6.  This program will begin on 11th November. Details will be sent to families at the beginning of the term.

Please check Sentral Calendar for dates.

Talking the Talk Workshop

Final Observation

This term has been an incredible journey for all of us. The kids have engaged in the learning, and the teachers have enjoyed the term, even if we have experienced much disruption due to a mixture of Covid and other unpleasant viruses as a staff.

All staff much appreciates your ongoing support to the school, and we look forward to returning from a well-earned rest and enjoying a tremendous final term for 2022.
