Doctors in Schools Program
Patterson River is very fortunate to be part of the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program which was successfully established in the College in 2017. This fantastic service will continue in 2018.
The GP will provide students with the same services as the kind normally provided by GPs in the community. The GP will bulk bill consultations through Medicare, so there will be no out-of-pocket expenses for this service for your family.
We are very pleased to introduce the new staff from Atticus Health, Dr Caitlin O’Mahony and Michelle Bradshaw, who will be working with the College this year.

Hello! I'm Dr Caitlin O'Mahony - the new GP at the school clinic. I enjoy working with young people and have special interests in nutrition, mental health, sexual health, chronic illness and stress management. I enjoy cooking wholesome food, yoga, travelling and spending time with my family and friends. I have a wonderful supportive husband and two children (Chris aged 5 and Skye aged 3). Our clinic is a fantastic friendly place for you to discuss any concerns you have about your health. We look forward to meeting you!
Hi I’m Michelle, I am a registered nurse working with the doctors in school program. My role will be to see you before the doctor, to do simple observations ie take your blood pressure, pulse, measurements and document your concerns.
The service is available on Thursday afternoons from 12.30 – 4pm. Bookings can be made through Year Level Coordinators or Miss Cavey.
