Welcome back to Term 2 – let’s hope it’s a productive one for all. 

 

To ensure our students achieve to the best of their potential, we aim to provide them with tools that will assist them in their decision-making post school. This is applicable whether it means completing VCE or leaving earlier to pursue other avenues such as full-time employment, further study in an accredited setting or a trade apprenticeship. This is where alumni come to the fore.

 

The experiences of alumni can open up a whole new world of opportunities to our current students. It may be in the form of offering a work placement to someone who is interested in your area of expertise; it may be offering insight into the pathway required to achieve their ‘dream job’; it may be confirmation of the importance of the ‘soft’ skills that employers are seeking or it may be handy hints on how to maintain a productive study routine to be successful at further education. All of these offerings are vital to our students.

 

This is where you come in! 

  • Can you offer a work placement?
  • Would you like to talk to a group about your pathway after leaving NGSC?
  • Have you held jobs in varying areas but were able to use your transferable skills to adapt to a new position?
  • Are you currently studying and have found (or are working towards) the all-important study/work/fun balance?

 

If you answered YES to any of the above, WE NEED YOU.
