Youth Empowerment Program Incursion

On the 19th of May, I, and the other students in the Youth Empowerment Program, attended an incursion by the Year 10 student leaders. During the incursion, we were given a booklet that was supposed to be filled out throughout and doubled as a colouring book to entertain us. Not only did we get a colouring book to keep us entertained and engaged, we also participated in games and group discussions that made for some interesting moments during it. The slideshow presentation that was presented, had very useful information on how to positively communicate and build healthy relationships which are required skills for leaders. The incursion was informational and fun. – Trisha Patel, Year 9

Hello everyone, we are your year 10 leaders! This past Friday we organised and ran our own version of the GRIP leadership conference for our school's Y.E.P leadership team. The idea of the incursion was to try and engage and educate our younger peers in all of what we believe are the most paramount values in becoming, and acting as a leader. The afternoon was really enjoyable, the year 10 leaders presented presentations they all worked hard on, and the Y.E.P leaders enjoyed following along while colouring in their booklets in for a reward. – Georgia-Lee Parsons, Year 10
