Celebrating out students does not only involve what they achieve within the school but also celebrating their extra-curricular achievements.

Two of our students, Will and Dane, have worked incredibly hard to follow their dreams to become true innovative entrepreneurs.

Hello BSC Community, 

Steelwaves is a handmade-ring business co-foundered by William Pidduck and myself, Dane Foster. As students, we never imagined that our love for crafting and forging, could bring us to where we are today. 

Over the course of half a year, Steelwaves has gone from nothing but a dream to a fully fledged business accepting overseas orders, owning a fully functional website and two very grateful owners. 

Using everything from a good old hammer to modern acid-etching techniques, Will and I have manufactured multiple lines of unique rings. We have learnt many lifelong skills such as blacksmithing and website creating, but most of all have gained a genuine love and passion for producing endearing, custom products for each of our customers. 

However, we couldn’t do it alone. We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received from our school community. From friends to teachers, every step of the way Will and I have been inspired to follow our dreams and pursue our crafting passion.  

BSC has given us the kind of education that has helped us to create a thriving business that we’re incredibly proud of.
