F-4 Community News

The past fortnight has been a fun week of celebration and collaboration with the College community. Last week students were so proud to share in the celebrations for Mother's Day with their Mothers and significant women in their life. It was great to share in breakfast, Liturgy and follow up activities in the classrooms. How amazing to see some future masseuses and beauty therapists testing their skills on their loved ones.

We would also like to thank families for taking up the opportunity to meet with your child’s subject teachers. There was certainly a great buzz across the space with many conversations taking place throughout the evening.

Over the past fortnight, the F-4 students have had the opportunity to take part in an AFL clinic. They completed many fun activities to develop their ball-handling skills. It is wonderful to see the students provided with extracurricular opportunities in sports coordinated by the Sports Department.

Over the next fortnight, students will participate in National Simultaneous Storytime and Sorry Day Mass. The Years 3/4 students will also complete their swimming program at the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre in Week 6. We look forward to seeing the joy on the students' faces as they participate in these activities.

Years 1 and 2

On Monday we were lucky enough to enjoy some AFL run footy clinics for each of our classes.

We learnt how to go in for the ball safely, how to handball and how to kick for goal. It was great fun and we might even see some future AFL stars in the years to come!

Our Years 1/2 students enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day early last week.

We sang beautifully during the Mother's Day liturgy before having fun doing some special activities with our visiting mums, aunties, grandmas and nannas.

Activities included hand massages, making necklaces or bracelets with beads, nail polish, portraits and crowns.

We hope all the special females in our lives had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday.
