From the Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Our Wonder Woman Breakfast last week was a huge success and I was delighted to see so many attend the breakfast. The breakfast began at 8.00 a.m. and was attended by over 180 mothers, grandmothers and other special guests. It was heartwarming to witness the sense of joy and excitement as families gathered together to celebrate this special occasion.

Our Mother's Day Stall also provided a wonderful opportunity for our students from Foundation to Year 6 to purchase gifts for their mum or special person. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the parent volunteers who generously contributed their time, resources and talents to make this event a success. Their dedication and support were instrumental in creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Our College Open Day and Information Night is next Tuesday, 23rd May.  We invite prospective students, families and members of the community to join us. Our College Open Day and Information Night is an excellent opportunity to explore our facilities, meet our dedicated staff and gain valuable insights into our extensive range of academic programs, extracurricular activities and support services. If you know of any parents considering St Augustine’s for 2024, please direct them to the College website for further information.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Kyabram Club for their unwavering commitment to education and their belief in the power of partnerships. Their generous donation has allowed us to develop and expand our Partnerships Program, which has opened up countless opportunities for our students. The Partnerships Program is more than just a financial contribution. It represents a bridge between our school and the wider community, fostering a sense of collaboration, trust and mutual support. Through this program, our students have had the privilege of engaging with local businesses, organisations and professionals who have graciously offered their time, expertise and resources.

This week, St Augustine’s undertook a National School Improvement Tool review. The review brings together findings from international research into the practices of highly effective schools and school leaders. The National School Improvement Tool review is a comprehensive review to help schools identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies to address them. The process will assist the College to review and reflect on our efforts to improve the quality of classroom teaching and learning.
