National Day of Prayer and Fasting
27th May, 2023
In line with National Day of Prayer and Fasting, as an initiative of the ministers fellowship, churches in Kyabram will have their doors open for prayer throughout the day. St Augustine’s will have our doors opened from 8am-10am. Come in and pray for our nation. You may come and go as you wish.
The theme for 2023 is Love and Unity: The scriptural theme is found in John 13:34-35: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples.
The purpose of the National Day of Prayer and Fasting is to come together as one, humbling ourselves in prayer and fasting, to see God glorified in our Nation, contending for Revival and Transformation for Australia.
Leaving a Bequest to the Church
Have you thought about leaving a bequest to the church? There are forms available in the office if you would like to leave a bequest. These can be filled in and left with your will. Please contact Vicki or email the office for a copy.
Piety Store
Have you checked out the piety store in the gathering space of the church? Do you have a family baptism or sacramental member? Why not grab a lovely gift. Would you like to volunteer to help with the store? There is a clipboard for you to put your name down to be included on the roster.

‘FUNCTION, ROLE AND
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PPC’
BOOKLET
Brendan Lane has updated a booklet outlining the function, role and responsibility of the PPC. The PPC is in the process of reviewing this booklet and then it will be distributed to Parish members.
Laudato Si' Week
16th – 24th May is a global celebration where we remember Pope Francis urging us in his encyclical Laudato Si’ to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor and to humbly place ourselves in communion with our common home. As a Catholic Earthcare Parish we celebrate our part in the great progress the whole Church is making on its journey towards the seven Laudato Si’ Goals set before us by Pope Francis to achieve ecological conversion.
Parish Support
Thank you to our generous givers for your ongoing support of our Parish! Our Planned Giving and collections are for parish operating expenses, churches maintenance, clergy support and presbytery support. If you are a new parishioner or now in a position to give there are many ways to give to our church needs.
Giving is by way of church envelopes, direct debit or periodic credit card payments and is flexible to suit your preference of weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and half yearly or yearly. You can also give without a set pledge amount or timeframe to give by. We encourage anyone who is not on the Planned Giving Program to contact the Parish Office. Thank you for considering this option to support our Parish.
National Sorry Day Mass
There will be a National Sorry Day Mass held on Friday 26th May at 11.30am in the Brigidine Centre. We would love to see lots of parishioners to join in the special occasion.
