Exciting News

Wednesday 24th May is National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). Each year ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) and Scholastic coordinate a national day where children at public libraries, school libraries, kindergartens and childcare centres listen to the same story at the same time.

We are very excited to announce that our school will be reading the story on Wednesday next week. Students will gather in the auditorium and listen to The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie. It is a terrific story of celebrating who you are even if that means doing different things to other people. Sloth wants to go in a running race and she succeeds.

In the Library we have been counting down the days until NSS. Classes have been given an invitation from the Library to attend our special event. We will have some activities related to the story for students to make and do.
