Gardening

This term in gardening we have delighted in observing the growth and change in the garden, as the warmer months have arrived.

Students have been busy weeding, pruning, and prepping garden beds as we get ready to plant out our summer crops.

Last week we put on our Citizen Science hats as we participated in the Aussie Bird Count. Students observed up to 15 different species of birds in our TPS Garden. We discussed the importance of birdlife in our ecosystem, and students planted sunflower seeds to invite wildlife into our garden. https://aussiebirdcount.org.au/

In preparation for the Arts Festival, children propagated and harvested plants and produce for the plant stall.

This term we are looking forward to planting out new crops including tomatoes, beans, cucumbers!
