Basketball

We have been chosen as the 2023 Basketball Captains. Mount Alvernia has been dominating the basketball court with our inter-A’s being on the top of the ladder and undefeated in the CaSSSA season - what an achievement! 

During the second week of Term 4, our inter-A’s team participated in our first year of CBSQ Junior Tournament placing 4th out of 14 teams in Division 2.  All 3 teams are currently competing in their last few games of the CaSSSA tournament, with the inter B’s winning all their games except for a close lost against Brigidine, and our inter D’s are on the top of their ladder undefeated; all teams looking to compete in the grand final in the last week of Term 4. 

Our hope in 2023 to be able to run skill clinics for girls of all skill levels, to get girls keen and prepare them for the Term 3 and 4 CaSSSA basketball seasons. We are excited for CBSQ Opens and CBSQ Junior 2023 after their outstanding efforts this year, and we wish good luck to all intermediate teams for the end of the basketball season.
