As we approach the end of another year, we reflect on the amazing achievements of our teams. This year our programs have been operating at capacity with so many happy athletes through our Sports office. This has always been our vision, having as many students involved in sports and recreation as possible, while keeping sports enjoyable for all. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to this, students, parents, staff, coaches, and sporting clubs. Without this support, a lot of this would not have been possible.
Increased participation has come with an increase in our depth of talent, and while we have focused much effort on values such as participation, teamwork and developing our sporting culture, it is not surprising that our results have also leapt ahead.
We have had some of our best results in several years, with the results at all three Carnivals (Swimming, Cross Country, and Athletics) moving up the leader board. Basketball teams have been undefeated in CaSSSA and produced amazing results at CBSQ tournaments. We also won 2/3 divisions in Rugby 7s, including 5 out of 6 Tennis teams competing in grand final matches, not to mention the 15 other pennants teams brought home across other CaSSSA sports.
As we head into 2023, we now look to refine our skill development programs with plans to launch player development programs where not only the top teams receive targeted coaching but a larger range of players to keep enriching our student's talents.
We look forward to sharing this information with you soon and look eagerly towards another fantastic year in sport in 2023.
