SWIMMING

The swimming season has already kicked off, meaning the search for CASSSA swimmers is on! The sports department and swim captains would love to see as many students at Swim Fit as possible. This takes place at the College pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings from 7.00 - 8.00am - all are welcome!

There are two-time trials both taking place at the College pool, the first trial is this Friday 11 November from 3:30 - 5.00pm and the second time trial will take place on Friday 21 November from 3:30 - 5.00pm. Our goal is to create an even stronger CaSSSA team in 2023. After we came away with 5h place this year, we believe we can continue to climb up the ladder with stronger results together as a team. We believe that next year is our year for swimming and for our swimmers to shine.

CROSS-COUNTRY

We are Kelsi and Libby your 2023 Cross-Country Captains. We are so excited to be given this opportunity to guide and lead you through your Cross-Country journey! Run club kicked off again at the beginning of this term with all the girls excited to develop their running further. We run every Monday and Wednesday mornings 6:45 -8am . This term we have welcomed the upcoming grade 7s for 2023 to our running group who are already smashing it.

2023 is going to be our year as we aim to climb the CaSSSA leader board. We have many so plans in store to encourage new runners to join and attend some fun running events. Our goal for next year's running season is to incorporate more off-site hill running sessions around the community to get ready for CaSSSA 2023 at Limestone Park. We can’t wait to see more faces at our morning sessions and are so excited to get more girls competing next year.

FUTSAL

I’m Matilda, your 2023 Futsal Captain. Futsal in 2022 had included a lot of great success from all our teams competing whilst also facing the challenges of competitions being cancelled just days before the competitions and filling in spots on teams due to sickness. This term we have already kicked off the season with pre-season training on a Friday morning - which we saw around 10 girls attend, as well as our brilliant coach, Jason Tomlins.

I hope to see that same attendance plus more showing up with our last morning of preseason training this Friday (November 11) 7.00 - 8.00am. In 2023, Futsal will begin in Term 1 with trials in Week 3 and I’m so excited to introduce this sport to many of you as well as new students coming to the College. Hope to see everyone there!

TENNIS

I'm Rylee and I've have been selected as your Tennis Captain for 2023. Last season, student participation in Tennis excelled which I'm  very determined to keep going as we move forward into Term 1 2023. So far, our current players in the pre-season program have shown a lot of potential for success as they engage and improve in training.

Whilst our coaches have been dedicated to enhancing the skills and techniques that our players will use in competing for CaSSSA next year. I am positive this program will boost our achievements in 2023 as I am excited to hopefully see this training in action!

EQUESTRIAN

Last weekend my horse TFF Hibiya and I competed at the Somerville House show jumping competition. I received the overall Champion 0cm and 1st and 2nd in my individual classes. If you're interested in competing in Equestrian competitions for the College in 2023 I would love to hear from you! Pre-requisites include your own horse and transport. Please contract the Sport Office or myself directly if you're eager to hear more.
