CaSSSA Cross Country Update

Limestone Park was scheduled to host the annual CaSSSA Cross Country Carnival last Friday. Unfortunately, despite a few days of sun prior, the approval was not given by the Ipswich Council to proceed with the event. 

After ten weeks of training, it was a shame to have this happen, but our resilience is strong after two and half years of postponements, cancellations, and change. 

I am happy to announce the CaSSSA Board has secured a new date and location to ensure this event will go ahead.  We look forward to running a new course at Nudgee College on Tuesday 19 July.

Our training program will continue; stay tuned for some optional team runs over the school break.

Met North Cross Country

Well done to Cross Country Captain Ella Shackel who earned a spot on the Met North regional team with a bronze medal performance. Ella was strong from the start and, over a wet and slippery six-kilometre course, showed great determination.

Our other runners performed well on what was a cold day.  Full results have not been published, but we know our runners we all happy with their results overall.
